I absolutely loved every second of this book. This book is the epitome of finding yourself and finding people that deserve to be in your life.
I loved the story of just a young 20 something girl trying to find her way in life, feeling like she is lacking a lot and not where she wants to be compared to everyone else, just to realise everyone else’s image of perfection and wealth isn’t what it’s made up to be.
The idea of loneliness is something you don’t realise at such a young age, and it hits you so suddenly once you leave education since you are forced to go out and make your own friends and create your own adventures, that’s something you’re just never taught when and you realise how sheltered school has made you. This was portrayed so well in jsut getting up and getting things done to forcefully see improvement in your life.
Her relationship with Tristan was so much fun and wholesome to read, so surprised I enjoyed how they broke down each others walls and let eachother be vulnerable to one another. Also just the small interactions she has on her day to day shows just how much a small little Hi or acknowledgement can really change your whole day/ perspective of life.
I also loved how the author described routines. You see her stuck on a routine she’s comfortable with and even shows fear breaking away from it. But then you realise her breaking her routine was the start of her exploring journey, finding herself and her people. I loved how skillfully the author shows how breaking your routine can really benefit you, and how it won’t. Sometimes things you badly want to happen and work out just won’t, and that’s alright, you focus on what does work and move with that.
Such a sweet story about life and just finding yourself, needed this after a long week.
