A beautifully written book that is cleverly paced considering a good 2/3rds of the book is one character speaking. However, it feels natural, and the ruminations are well worth the time it takes to get through it. The back cover mentions it working as a novel of suspense, and I agree. The way certain details come out and round out the story was masterfully done. Would definitely recommend to others.

An intelligent book about friendship and betrayal, with a lot of psychological insight.

Nice plot...but I must admit, the monologue was tediously and unnecessarily long. Didn't move me, just annoyed me.

Intense, moving and very readable, I think this book has just got me back into reading mode after a long hiatus.

I picked this book for the catchy title and a non revealing synopsisWhile reading, I started to realize this is not the type of book I would normally pick as I'm not into introspective/psychologic analysis...

And yet I liked the book.

The way we get to know what happened, the mistery/suspense leading the reader to wonder what could have happened even with big paragraphs and, basically, long monologues.

It is a travel/evolution trought the character feelings over the years towards specific events in his life and at the same time trying to understand the involved people feelings towards the same events.
