The teacher makeover was cute until you found out their origins and then it became creepy. The meeting between the three friends was a fun story - humanized them a bit more.
...And we're brushing this series off the table. Not only have the characters shown zero growth, the plotline dipped to a new shallow low. Can't see it picking up from here.

A typical shojo manga. Entertaining and a quick read.
I must say, Kiri did a good job. I still like Narumi's old hairstyle more, but the new one is slowly growing on me.
Emi (Kiri's mom) and Narumi have the same facial expressions...LMAO!!! My cheeks hurt!
Ochiai took a beating instead of Narumi...good God, Emi broke his glasses...lol poor Ochi..
OMG and poor Narumi... Minamoto, Kei, Ochiai, everyone is annoying him all the time and i just laugh because of his temper.
When Emi and Minamoto call him Narusie... I can't!
I love Kei so much! I love them all, even the side characters.
When i say i was laughing the whole time, you better believe, i was laughing the whole time... except, maybe, the last chapter, because it was a backflash of how the trio met.
I'm in love with this series!!

I complained in my review of the first volume that there were too many characters and they all looked similar/bland. Thankfully Volume 2 slows down a bit to give the reader a chance to figure out who the main characters are and why they might be worth following.
Speaking of characters worth following, my favorite so far is the aromatherapy enthusiast Iori Minamoto. I think he's entertaining and kind-hearted (if lacking in subtlety) and I appreciate that his dialogue has been peppered with incorrect words to show how rusty his Japanese is after living in New York for so long.

Not quite as cute and fun as the first volume, but still really enjoyable. Inori is just irritating and gets in the way!
