Boo bad book
The first one hooked me and I wanted to know what happens and the whole mars environment really interested me. but this book is flat, their characters are flat, nothing is unexpected. The couples seem like instant meals. Not really rooting for anyone, and to be completely fair some characters don't even have fully formed personalities and are hard to diferenciate. The only well written character  is Serena, cause fuck that bitch. Will of course read n3 cause I'm a masochist
Goodnight

this is the exact definition of "trashy YA" : it's not good, but it's so addictive you can't stop reading and you keep asking for more. I'll probably write a proper review once I'm done with the series (or at least with book 3 since that's the last one I own).

I'm a bit disappointed because the plot shows some potential. This series could actually be good, it gives me some THG vibes even though it's not the same universe at all.
Unfortunately the romance side really is too heavy and the characters are kind of problematic (especially Alex, I can't stop wishing he would die in his sleep).
And the writing.... it's so bad don't even get me started. I don't know why I keep wishing it would improve at some point... But people praised this series so much I feel like I have to at least read the books I own so I can point out exactly what is wrong and what I didn't like.

Heel spannend!

I loved this book. The drama and the tension are incredible. The romance has me on cloud nine! The friendship and individual personalities all coming out is so well done and great to read. You feel as if you are there with them. The way in which it is written is unlike anything else I've ever read, so unique and intriguing. I cant recommend it enough.
Until the end i would have said it was better than the first. However, i expected so much more from the ending. I don't know whether my friends built up the ending too much, saying that it was so dramatic and unbelievable but I thought it was going to be nail-bitting and dramatic. But it wasn't. Sure it was surprising and a nice twist but nothing like the end of the last book which had me in tears.
I give this a solid 4.5/5 stars. I cant wait to read the next one, im sure its going to be just as incredible.

The 12 young recruits have many choices to make, the biggest one, to stay onboard and return back to earth most likely dead, or try and fight for survival on Mars.

Each recruit also has a hidden secret they’ve hidden from each other, which makes or breaks some relationships.

And the evil villain is still...very evil villain like. Beyond ridiculous at times.

Slightly more enjoyable to read than the previous book, mainly as I think it was more eventful.

The love triangle is well worn out and over done by now. I don’t believe anyone really cares about who she chooses.
Though the other relationships between the other 9 are infinitely more interesting.

Big revelation at the end was a cliff hanger.
Still continuing to read to find out the end.

Het boek is het tweede deel van een series. Het is terug mooi geschreven en leest zeer vlot. De spanning loopt gewoon door in dit boek wat het in het vorige boek had opgebouwd.
