I loved writing this book. It's so different from my others since the main character Bentley comes with so much dangerous baggage. Cliff was a small side character in Romantic Renovations, but I knew after writing the first book he and Bentley would make a perfect match... even if it took them a while to figure it out.
I do hope you all enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. Oh, and let me know in the reviews below how you liked it! :)

This is the third book in the series and while it says it is a standalone it really helps to read the first two. I thought it was a good book with great structure and well written. I will definitely be on the lookout for more to come.

This is the third book in a series and I have not read the first two. That probably would have been helpful as there were references to past incidents that had some bearing on the people in this book. Nothing that dramatically altered my understanding of this story but I felt as if I was missing out on information I should know in order to better appreciate the nuances of character relationships in this book.
The bones of this story are good ones. The premise is interesting and there are some good characters to work with. But I feel like the book needs a good editor. Some of the writing just doesn’t flow for me. There are parts of the story that drag and other parts which could use more exposition. There are a couple of big bombs dropped but they are just left lying there. At other times there is extraneous material added that adds little to nothing to the story arc.
I liked Bentley and Cliff (and I loved Grandma!) but I feel like this story could have served them better. As I said before there are really good bones here which is why I didn’t give up on the book. I wanted to see how it all played out. I’m glad I finished it but I left it feeling like something was missing…that there should have been more.
It’s not a bad book I just feel like it could have been so much better with the services of a good editor.
**I voluntarily read an arc and this is my unbiased opinion.**
