Sometimes I need a silly, amusing read and the books in this series are perfect! I can suspend disbelief, toss critical thinking out the window, and leave stress behind for awhile.
Picked the entire series up long ago and still re-read them every few years.

It's actually a 3.5, so I clicked the 4th star
Fun, enjoyable, a relaving read when you don't need a complicated read.
I liked the main character, Aisling, but most of all I liked Jim, the comic relief in the book.
A romance novel I did not feel ashamed to read, also because it has a nice looking cover ;o))))

This writer gives her characters sass. She develops them well and gives some laugh outloud quotes.
I have always had a bias against romance books. My preconceived idea of romance novels includes Fabio with mushy and unnecessary, corny phrases. Boy meets girl, says something lame. Girl falls head-over-heels for boy and they have sex (without much plot).
Lately I have had books recommended to me that are marketed as romance but do not fall under my preconceived idea of what a romance novel is. I have surprised myself by really enjoying the paranormal romance books because I categorically despise girly movies or anything romantic.
The premise of this book is sort of a mystery whodoneit (however that is spelled).
Aisling (Irish name pronounced ‘Ashling’ ) is a courier for her uncle. Her first assignment is to deliver a very expensive item to a woman in France. She finds the French woman dead and subsequently is a suspect. The book delves into finding the murderer and motive for the murder. Aisling is exposed to another world that she did not believe existed. One with demons and dragons (and other things that go bump in the night).
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys witty dialog between characters because that is what makes the book.

Somewhat humorous Paranormal Romance full of tropes with detailed lust and sex.
Within the paranormal ‘light fun reads’ category there aren’t many middle ground books. Either they’re silly and juvenile or there are pages - away from the storyline - often at the most inopportune times - devoted to detailing the amorous moments. On the plus side - the words chosen by this author aren’t as crass as descriptions by others. Her chosen moments to have sex not as downright ridiculous as many. I prefer to use more of my own imagination, but I appear to be in the minority audience within this category.
Storyline and writing also a plus, overall an enjoyable read. Kindle pricing like a frog in boiling water - first book $2.99, gradual increases to fourth book $7.99.

Cute introduction to paranormal/murder who dunnit with Wiccans, demons and hot dragons populating the world. A quick read and fun. Nothing too angsty and plenty of humor as Aisling Grey stumbles into it all.
Love love love - Aisling is such a fantastic character and a joy to follow around.
'You Slay Me' is certainly more of a lighthearted read, and if you go in expecting that it can be quite entertaining. What really cost it a 4 star review is the love interest, Drake. Aisling herself, as well as her demon-dog and taxi driver friend, was a likable character and her exploits were interesting to read. She wasn't the kind of person I grew immensely irritated by, and for all her naivety of the world she was thrust into, she handled her situation well. It was any time Drake was brought in that I got annoyed. He seemed to be so one-dimensional, with his only notable characteristics being his attractiveness, possessiveness, and general lack of empathy of any kind. For god's sake, he purposely made things harder and more dangerous for his 'mate' multiple times! As for the possessiveness: I'm not disinclined towards just a pretty face with possessive tendencies - I find them fun to read on occasion - but Drake had none of the charm or charisma that lent itself to redeem ability. I'm sure if I continued with the series, I'd be more inclined to forgive Drake and perhaps even like him. But as it stands, I'm content to leave this book as an enjoyable one-off.

I actually read this book a few years ago and I remember really liking it, but then the second book came along and kind of ruined the magic. I still got both of em lying around so now that I'm in the mood for a bit of light and fluffy pnr I'll def. give them a second try!
