She claims people wouldn't celebrate Churchill "if" he was racist, but then turns around and talks like Margaret Thatcher is a win for feminism????

This book is dense. Written more like a textbook, it tries to cover all of women's history in 280 pages. It does take more of a western white woman focus to this history and there are topics that I wish it had explored further, but it definitely gave me a list of topics that I want to read more about.

Mind blowing, gut wrenching wake up call to be more proactive as an activist.

very detailed, very informative, very illuminating and important, plus the author had a way of using preexisting phrases in a derisive, tongue  in cheek kind of way that i found amusing (esp since most historical non fictions can be pretty dry - this one had a keenly developed sense of voice/tone that was really engaging)
