The story was so so. The acting was awesome.

There are hard lessons to be learned in this play. Life is hard, people are shitty, and then you die (in a nutshell). It's a look at the poisonous relationships in our lives, especially when we think we're living the high life, and when the worse has come to pass. You get screwed over by your friends and then you screw over the ones you love. In a world where you're only as good as your next fuck-up,there are only harsh words and the knowledge that it doesn't really matter anyway to comfort you. Very uplifting.

This play was good, but not my personal favorite. There was so much happening but also so little. I could see many of the plot points coming before the reveals. Also, the use of language was a choice. The amount of cursing became desensitizing, and it could make a reader on an audience member not feel the importance of the words on the page anymore. Still, the play has some good stories that deserve to be heard and told.

I love this play so much. Each character is frustratingly real and grounded. The conflicts and dialogue between them feel real and not "I am reading a play - no one talks like this". Discussions of class, privilege, addiction, and love.

The first three scripts I read by Stephen Adly Guirgis I disliked immensely, but I really enjoyed the funny yet raw writing and the relationships amongst all the characters in this play. As an aspiring actress, this is definitely a play I would love to be a part of.
