I am not new to Emma’s writing but, i’ll be damned if i say this book didn’t take a piece of my heart and soul, it broke me completely i cant stop thinking about it and i am trapped with those characters, i need to let it go but i cant seem to do it i hope i find other books as amazing as this because i am a sucker for heartbreaking books

KU Books rating system used: I'm not bothering to log anything less than two stars. Two Stars = pretty interesting characters, plot carries the characters along well. Three Stars = interesting story, dynamic characters.

This author is a superb writer, and I was intrigued in the first half of this book. However, I felt like it dragged a little and I slowly lost interest. Maybe I'll pick it up again some other time but this book reminded me too much of Me Before You that I had to tap out.

this was beautiful

Loved this book! I listened to it on Audible and it was amazing!!

Such an amazing book, I couldn’t put it down. Charlotte and Noah stole my heart. Totally recommend this amazing book.

This was pretty good but I’ll never read it again. A+ epilogue. Ugh, I love me a freaking pregnancy epilogue. I was hoping for one this whole damn book and it paid off.

This was just a long and kind of arduous read. There were very few cozy moments that would lead up to their first kiss. It kind of just happened and I was just like, what? That… needed more careful buildup. But they are cute together, especially has she helps him navigate his world.

And I didn’t feel the strain of their separation since they were committed and waiting for each other. I thought it was kind of dumb the only threat was one of them might get tired of waiting. And they weren’t really talking? This author should have just made them break up. They just missed each other a lot and woooo she danced with a rando after taking shots, such guilt… he just made her wait while he… learned how to be blind in the most uncomfortable and inefficient way possible. Like, this guy barely learned how to function independently while blind and he wanders around Europe by himself. I just… my suspend disbelief meter was pushed to the limit.

I just… sigh, the feeling of the face thing to know what she looked like. Do blind people do that in real life? I mean, it’s a sweet idea, but I thought it was hokey Hollywood shit and not actual rep or what blind people do.

This was pretty bonkers, but overall unique I guess. and it felt a little rushed in some of the more emo scenes, I kind of wanted more development. but visually it’s easy to follow along.

The dialogue was kind of cringe. So much cheese and corn.

I only really got the major feels during the epilogue.

Noah was an extreme sports writer, writing about his own experience. He traveled all over the world living a dream most young athletic men fantasize about until he has an accident that snatches that life from him. Now he lives as a hermit and rages at anything and anyone that dares to tell him how lucky he is to be alive.

Charlotte is a violinist prodigy. She's in her last year at Juilliard when tragedy strikes at home. She loses her will to play when she lost her brother. Skating through life she's approached by Lucien offering her a job assisting Noah. Lucian sees in her what Noah needs to be brought back to life.

This was a pretty heavy story. Excellent writing and a captivating story line, but filled with rage, bitterness and sadness. It's a beautiful read about two people touched by tragedy coming together and healing each other. I found a lot of amazing quotes in this book. I'm really impressed with this author and I look forward to reading more from Emma Scott.

P.S. I just finished [bc:Endless Possibility|27160356|Endless Possibility (Rush, #1.5)|Emma Scott|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1444710366s/27160356.jpg|46028959]and wow! The author should have put that as part of this book. Amazing to see his struggle to overcome his anger in detail and that ending made me a total sap! This is a must read after reading Rush.
