I can see who this is written for and I am definitely not that target audience

I think I've officially read enough Clowes to say I don't care for Clowes. His illustrations are eyecatching but his characters are annoying and self-righteous and dull.

An immersive read but I guess I’m not all that invested in the inner workings of white middle-aged men so I could only summon up so much interest

He's trying so hard to make this have a happy ending! A divorced, middle-aged man named Marshall goes on a blind date at a coffee shop, and this tells the story of the date and all of the various worst-case scenarios, daydreams, fantasies, and imagined outcomes that Marshall obsesses over.

Too short, but bittersweet and beautifully laid out. I'm a sucker for the typography used throughout.

Romcom of graphic novels. Written with a movie deal in mind? I enjoyed it anyways.

Not as good as Ghost World, but still enjoyable in its own unique way.

Im a Daniel Clowes fan, but this is a relatively thin story. Almost feels like someone trying to copy Dan Clowes without the inight.
