This series just keeps getting better and better. Another great book from Ms. Crownover.

With a visually appealing cover, I was hoping to find similar content within. Unfortunately, this book did not capture my attention. Nash was a fairly interesting character, but Saint was disappointing. She spent page after page after page living in the past. Maybe she grows out of her isolating tendencies as the book progresses, but I wasn't interested in reading further.

I adore Nash and I think Saint is great, but for some reason this is my least favorite of the series.

Sadness can be beneficial to a story but in this book there were too many issues and all of them were sad. Bullying, low self-esteem, cheating, lying, horrible parenting, death, misunderstandings that steal years form the people involved and jumping to the wrong conclusions. I am so not discounting any of those things but it was just too much to take in.

Yes, this isn't really a review, more just my thoughts but that's just the mood I have been it lately...

Method: audiobook

Rating: 5/5 stars

H rating: 5/5 - Nash. You are my second favorite of the Marked Men..

h rating: 4/5 - Saint..oh Saint..you held onto those feelings and hurt from such a long time ago that it really hurt your present and future..you figured it out, but not before leaving hurt behind you.

Drama: 4/5 - family issues, cancer, and past dumbness..

Thoughts: Nash honestly is my second favorite, but also can tie it up as my 1st..mainly because Saint is so much like me it's shocking..

*March 2019 re-read*Have re-read so many times. Love this series and love me some Nash. Saint is a someone I also relate to a little too much.

I am so behind on my reviews (baby #2 due in 3 weeks) so I'm getting back in the saddle with Nash. Here goes:

I really love this series. For me, when it comes to the marked men, it just keeps getting better and better. Nash might be my favorite of the gang so far. That being said, I really liked Saint, but she wasn't my favorite. She really is what kept me from giving this book five stars. A heroine with insecurities doesn't bother me, but her hang-ups just kept on and on and on--even with an amazing assuring man like Nash. It just put me off a little.

Here's what I LOVED :
1. Nash of course!!! He was so incredibly sweet. The scenes with with Phil absolutely stole my heart.
2. Loved the Phil story line. Spoiler Alert---but not really----GRAB YOUR KLEENEX.
3. the scenes were steamy and HOT
4. You get to see more of the crowd and share some special moments with them especially
Spoiler Rule and Shaw's wedding and Cora and Rome's baby birth

5. the set up for Rowdy's book has me super excited!
6. got me speculating about Asa too
Spoiler this is pure speculation but I'm thinking Royal and maybe ASa together....ex-con and cop--could be interesting??? :)

In all, great addition to the Marked Men series. Thanks for another hit Jay!!

I loved Nash and Saint. I thought they were so cute. It did make me cry, because when Phil died it made me think about my own life. When Phil was on hospice, made me think about my brother who is on hospice and what will happen when that time comes. So I definitely cried a lot. But it also made me think about when my dad had cancer and thought my dad was gonna go because of the cancer. But my dad had stage 3 tongue cancer whereas Phil had stage 4 lung cancer.
