I love the series. This was my first audiobook for the series. I was not crazy over the narration for Derek but I may give the next one a chance with audio.

I didn't like Savannah because of how dismissive she was about Brooklyn's job/obsession with books. But then Brooklyn got on my nerves because of how obsessive she was about the book! I hope the next one is better!

I was hooked from the first chapter and the story kept my attention the whole time.
I loved reading more about Brooklyn’s family and meeting Derek’s brother. (Here’s hoping we see more of him in a future book.)
The cookbook itself and the history around it was so intriguing.
I did not see that ending coming and was shocked when “whodunit” was revealed.
Aah! Just sooo dang good!

This was enjoyable. I was hungry through the entire book though. Savannah annoyed me a bit. I liked seeing Derek's brother. I also liked Derek's interaction with the Wainwrights. This one seemed a bit repetitive to me. Things were rehashed too many times. And there didn't actually seem to be any sleuthing going on. Mostly they just waited for things to happen while they ate. A lot.

A fun book. I haven't read any of the series but will go back and start with book 1. Not that it really mattered that much. I enjoyed the foodie part of this one and the book binding info. The plot is a bit contrived but it was still an enjoyable read.

Next in the Bibliophile mysteries for me, I was ecstatic to find this one in print at my local library. It's been a struggle for me to find the earlier ones in this series, though I'm happy that from here on out, it will be easier to obtain the remainder in this series. Brooklyn and her sister Savannah are featured in this one, along with her hunky boyfriend Derek and his equally hunky brother Dalton, who jets over from England to help out a bit. Savannah and fellow chef friends from their time at Le Cordon Bleu are taking turns cooking at a posh new restaurant for a fellow classmate, whom no one really likes. Surprise, surprise, he turns up dead! The mystery ensues and I admit, I was enjoying it so much, that I didn't quite figure this one out. Brooklyn is repairing a pre-Revolutionary era cookbook for Savannah to gift to the dead guy (which he receives right before he makes his exit), and the book has a lot of fascinating parts that a foodie like me really enjoyed. Bravo, really enjoyed this one :)

This was a fun, easy read. As always, from this series, a page-turner. I managed to guess whodunnit correctly, but I like that they never reveal the motive til the very end. Looking forward to the next installment!
