This volume took an interesting turn we didn’t see as often in other volumes. Humans aren’t always very kind in these stories and are sometimes very selfish but the ones in this volume really take the cake.

Hm, another piece to the forbidden mushi puzzle, this is getting interesting! Though, overall I still find Ginko's backstory more interesting, so I was sad that it wasn't fleshed out as much in this one. I did enjoy Ginko's interactions with the strange isolated Mushishi clan. The ragged road idea was also rather frightening, I'm glad Ginko didn't lose his soul!

I've loved the other volumes before this one, but I basically didn't understand most of the stories in this one. They were confusing and unclear.
