What a roller coaster! It took some time for me to get invested in this book but there was a certain point where I couldn’t get enough and was desperate to find time to keep reading! I still don’t know whether to like or dislike Kylie but there was definitely a very clear villain in this revenge story. This book is full of complicated relationships and complicated feelings and I’m here for it!

Thanks to NetGalley for the arc!
I had guessed the storyline a few chapters in but kept reading, there were plenty of twists and turns that I hadn’t guessed along the way! It wasn’t very fast paced, and didn’t grip my attention until the last 1/4 of the book - I couldn’t put it down then!! Surprisingly I found out when I finished that this was a sequel! I had no idea! I still enjoyed this story as a stand alone and not having read the first, and thought the ending was great!

Two Dead Wives picks up where Adele Parks' earlier novel, Woman Last Seen, leaves off, although you definitely don't have to read the first book in order to enjoy the second. In Two Dead Wives, Kylie Gillingham's murder reveals a shocking secret--she's been leading a double life and is a bigamist. Her second husband is the prime suspect, but he tries to get off the hook by persuading Kylie's sons to investigate her best friend, who moved in with the family to "help out" after Kylie's death.
The boys' investigation leads them to a small seaside town, where they run into danger and discover a shocking secret.
This book did a great job of keeping my interest and of telling the story from the viewpoints of a variety of different characters. It seems that everyone has something to hide, and there's plenty of suspense, especially when the boys unknowingly connect with a potential murderer online. A climactic scene in the seaside village had me on the edge of my seat.
Looking forward to reading more Adele Parks!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in return for an honest review.

This was an absolute page turner of a thriller. I could not put it down! I was unaware that is was the sequel to a previously written title when starting my read, but I don’t think that affected the plot whatsoever. It worked fantastic as a standalone. This novel unravels the story around the disappearance and potential murder of a woman found to have been simultaneously married to two different men. The twists and turns kept me at the edge of my seat page after page. Fantastic read!
