A good conclusion to an entertaining series. I've enjoyed all three books. The development of the characters and the world they exist in is paced really well and although I found some of it predictable it was still a good read.

The best summary I can give of my thoughts on this book is "...okay, I guess?"

Yeah, I guess it's a fitting end to the series. This is definitely the worst of the trilogy, and the one that took me the longest to read. Sure, I wish there hadn't been a shoehorned love triangle. I wish that it hadn't spent quite so long dwelling on the love triangle at the expense of some of my favourite characters. I wish that the term "butchy" hadn't been used in a derogatory fashion (yes, it happened once, but it's literally the only thing I made a note on while reading). I wish it hadn't ended with
the main character and his son getting blown to smithereens by a nuke after a dissatisfying reunion
. There are a lot of things I wish had happened in this book, but most of them didn't. At the end of it, I'm left thinking "Huh." and that's about it.
