"When I was a boy and would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.' To this day, especially in times of 'disaster,' I remember my mother's words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers--so many caring people in this world."

Even in death, Mister Rogers still impacts the lives of people everywhere, old and young. The wisdom in this book is uplifting and brilliant, a reminder that the world isn't so terrible a place as some would like us to believe. Fred Rogers' thoughts and words live on and continue to remind us to be a good neighbor.

This book highlights the Roger's wisdom in a manner that reveals him to be a kind of American Buddha. While the book occasionally chokes you with saccharine feel goodery, most of it touched me so deeply it brought tears to my eyes, and spoke to me as only Mr. Rodgers can speak to anyone: with kindness and love. A good way to kick off a new year-with open heart and mind.

You know that conversation starter that goes "If you could meet one person, living or dead, who would it be?"

My answer is Mr. Rogers. Just reading this book had me feeling all types of different emotions, and it's just a regular old book of quotes. I adore the guy, and seeing his words on paper is an experience that may have you tearing up in the dentist waiting area. Just sayin.

It's Mister Rogers. Simple, but profound concepts. I laughed on some pages and teared up on others.

What an inspiration! If we could all take a sliver of the compassion and understanding Mr. Rogers' offers, we could all live in a wonderful neighborhood!
