Pure Blakely Brilliance!
I know without a doubt, if I need a pick me up, feel good story, I can count on this author to deliver. This book is in my top 5 of her novels for lots of reasons. Firstly, she is a master at writing in the male POV. She can depict a male’s emotions and give us such detail on what makes them tick without making them seem like a douchebag. Secondly, she is a genius with the flirty, dirty banter between her couples, and this book was superb. She also makes her characters feel so genuine that I come away wanting to hang with the gang. The thing I cherish the most about her tales are that she makes her heroes and heroines equal. It is not all about the hero having to please and pleasure the heroine only, there is a perfect balance, and that to me is sexy.
Malone is the crooning vet that has a heart of gold. He is extremely loyal and honorable. He is looking out for everyone, human and animals alike. And only someone with the same mind set could be his life partner. Luckily Sloane is that girl. She is smart and vivacious and only Malone can bring out her inner feline. Except their relationship can’t happen due to Sloane being the daughter of his business partner and mentor. This then brings about a lot of tension and the need for them to escape away to Tahiti for a week. If only it could be forever.
This book is highly recommended for all rom-com lovers and especially Blakely fans. They will treasure how this couple fit into the Big Rock book family and how it also sets up the couple for her next release. I can’t wait to re read this one already, but I’ll add the audio and listen to Malone croon his tunes to me. 😍

Malone and Sloane are such a cute couple. Forbidden love meets office romance in this one and the sparks really do fly. Definitely smutty/spicy/steamy, but also definitely enjoyable. Plus if you listen to the audiobook there's whole singing sections with a beautiful male voice. Cute brain candy perfect for a quick read!

+ the first half of this book was fun and charming and I actually really liked the angst between the main characters. It felt really believable.
+ second chance romance done right. The relationship wasn't toxic, noone did anything unforgivable.
+ the wholy story felt very realistic even if the reason for them not to be together was kinda dumb.
- 1/4 of this book is epilogue with nothing interesting happening in it
- the main "conflict" is literally anticlimactic. ehehe
- there is nothing that will keep you hooked in the second half of the book.
It was kinda boring to be honest. I don't think I would pick up another book by Lauren Blakely but I didn't dislike it neither. It was just middle of the road.

This isn't one of my favorite Lauren Blakely books BUT there are a few things that I really liked:
1.) Malone is a vet and the animals bring out his big ol' softy heart
2.) Malone is a crooner and sings old standards (which I love anyway) to both people and animals
3.) Characters from other Lauren Blakely books make appearances
On the other hand, I felt like the side characters who were introduced here (and who get their own story in the next installment) were underdeveloped. Obviously it's not about them, but I didn't get enough that I was eager to immediately read their love story. Also, the rhyming names is a little too cutesy for me. Thankfully it wasn't beaten to death but, really, did their names have to rhyme?

Jason Clarke narrates the voice of Malone, a lounge singer and lord have mercy he sings and plays piano. *swoons*
Set in Manhattan, Blakely delivered again with a sexy, off the chart “friends to lovers’ romance seven years in the making. I loved the mix of humor, raw honestly, gooey sweetness and melt my earbuds heat. Mix in animals thanks to Malone’s day job as a veterinarian. That’s right ladies, the man sings and loves animals!
Poor Andi Arndt. She narrated the voice of Sloane in this dual POV but Jason stole the show in Satisfaction Guaranteed.
A swoon worthy listen, with an awesome bonus novella, Sweet Desire.

Oh what a fantastic introduction to a new series by this amazing writer.
There is so much to love about this story, the POV is amazing! It's humorous, fast paced and oh so swoony! I don't want to give too much away by spelling it out, so read it and you will agree with me.
This is the story of Malone and Sloane...(it rhymes!!)
I loved the confidence of Malone, he is the quintessential old school gentleman and I floved him! He has the charm, the charisma and the looks to be a member of the new rat pack! Malone is like a swallow of a good smooth bourbon...he warms you from the inside out!
Sloane is a mystery. She is a challenge that Malone couldn't say no to. Even with the cards stacked against them, they found a way. I loved her bravery, her confidence in asking for what she wants and getting it!
The world that Ms. Blakely creates with this story is so real...it pulled me in and didn't let me go until the end. And I so didn't want it to end.
I loved the tease to the next book in this series and I cannot wait for it!
This story is another stellar addition to Ms. Blakely's collection! Well done!

Lauren Blakely is one of the few romcom writers I read these days. I am always drawn in by the banter of the characters, the chemistry between them, and of fun of the romance, and while there are parts I really loved, there were parts that just didn't work for me (personal preference).
Maloane and Sloane are really great characters. I think that with most of Blakely's couples, their conversations are natural, their banter is fun and engaing. The animal angle was a bit much for me at times, particular when it came to describing post-coital bliss and such. Again, it fits with their characters, their love of animals, so I get that stylistically and in regards to the development of the story, this makes sense. It was overall a bit too much for me. I will say that the orgasm issue between the two was entertaining.
The story is entertaining and fun, but there were few to no surprises. Other than the orgasm issue, the plot was pretty standard for romcom, the resolution came pretty quickly and was a tad predictable. That being said it was still entertaining. As a bonus, if you are an audiobook listener, I would definitely check it out. The narration is amazing, and hearing the male narrator sing was swoonworthy.
Lauren Blakely always provides fun, light and entertaining romances, and Satisfaction Guaranteed did all of that.
