Woman tells man the truth most of the time she knows him (there was a lie at the beginning at the behest of another). Man tells woman nuh-uh. They fall in love.

This was a very fast moving romance filled with intrigue, charm and court politics. I read this in 24 hours and it was a fun read with plenty of chemistry between the main characters.
#3 in the Reid Family trilogy, we follow the rakish Rupert St. John who is tasked with 'investigating' new ladies of the court *winkwink*
Enter Lady Rebecca Marshall who is not so keen to be at court but willing to please her mother. She is dragged into court intrigue and busted by the rakish hero who goes on to make a whole story worth of assumptions about the poor girl.
I did think Becca gave in to his charms and became enceinte very quickly. The way Rue kept calling her a liar despite the evidence to the contrary was a bit annoying as well, but I understand why that was.
Overall, though, it was a fun read with lots going on behind the scenes.

I didn't particularly like the hero. The heroine was better, very sassy. I'm just glad we didn't have to keep hearing how beautiful Ophelia was the entire book.
