Slow cliché, caricatural. J’aimais la prémisse, je n’ai pas aimé l’execution

besviken efter all hype. inte bra skriven, tror att översättningen ”dummar ner” texten. ska läsa bok nr två på engelska.

I was not planning on drinking the Seven Sisters coolaid simply because I didn't think it would be to my taste. I couldn't have been more wrong. This is a beautifully written work of historical fiction. I'm looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

Once I saw the direction it was headed, I found the story to be rather predictable, but I enjoyed reading about early 20th century Brazilian & French societies. I look forward to reading the stories of the other sisters, too.

The ick I got when Izabela married Gustavo was so bad, I couldn't handle it. Knowing I'd have to deal with it for 200 more pages was too much.

This was actually a pretty good listen! Interesting story even though I didn’t love all the aspects to it. The whole super rich people thing didn’t really vibe with me but it was still good!!
