I mostly enjoyed this book, the premise sounded interesting, and for the most part, it was. I enjoyed the beginning which told us a little about how the sisters were adopted by 'Pa Salt' etc. It was nice following the first sister, Maia's journeys. This isn't really my preferred genre tbh, I don't usually like dual timeline stories, but the way this was done, I didn't mind too much.
What I didn't like though, was the 'bedroom scenes' they were too explicit for me, if I'm honest. Being a Christian, I don't really want to focus on it. I also felt that Maia's story hadn't been completed. Maybe we will hear more from her in the next book?
I borrowed this via KU. I will listen to the next one, which I have on Audible, and see if I enjoy it any better.
