Continues to be an excellently-written series. I love these characters, and the plots, though simple, involves the heroes using more brains (and heart) than fisticuffs.

I love Kamala Khan. I do. Every time I pick up a new volume I fear it will be cheesy...and every time I am fooled.
This time Kamala is fighting a computer virus that is threatening to embarrass and out her friends secrets....so her friend decides to profess her love for another....and compassion is taught as the right thing to do. I know, it sounds cheesy, but it is perfect and I was grinning from under my covers as I read late into the night.
Read: start with the beginning, but read!

This was disappointing. I'm a huge fan of Ms. Marvel and her journey since a friend loaned me the first trade a few years ago. This trade, composed of 3 storylines, was subpar.
The first story is a one-shot about how important it is to vote. It seems to set up some long-term stuff by shifting the balance of political power in Jersey City, as well as redistricting some schools to put a new classmate in at school. It came across as incredibly preachy, and this is coming from someone who advocates for voting and voter rights. I love that Ms. Marvel is politically active (even though she can't vote yet), but this had all the subtlety of a Chick tract.
The second story weaves in some nice anti-cyberbullying stuff and a sweet storyline about having compassion for others and having the courage to share your secret self with those you care about. The technology piece needed a tad more research and thus the story fell flat for me. Entertaining but felt light compared to some of the topics and emotional arcs in previous issues.
The third story is another one-shot dealing with Bruno and his studies in Wakanda. This one felt the closest in spirit to other Ms. Marvel and also featured a guest appearance by T'Challa, which I will always welcome when written well, and here he's not given enough page time to really make an impression.
I'm hoping that the upcoming stories get us back on the track Ms. Marvel was on before the Civil War II tie in.

The main story is cute, but it doesn't make a whole lot of logical sense. I'm often happy to ignore illogic for the sake of fun times, if said times are fun enough; but the math just didn't quite work here for me.
Spoiler
Why does the virus reveal Zoe's secret but hold off on revealing Kamala's? ...Because that would permanently alter the narrative. Obviously. Yet there's absolutely no in-universe justification.izzys_internet_bookshelf's review against another edition

Still am enjoying the series, but I wish Kamala would interact with the inhumans more as well as the avengers

Where do I read the adventures of Bruno and Kwezi? I really hope they continue through this series.
The thing I love most about Ms Marvel is the Real Life as Monsters aspect. It's very Buffy, and may be an aspect of comics I am just not familiar with as a mostly non reader of them. But from racial profiling to Gerrymandering, Ms Marvel has to find a way to defeat it all. And I love that.

I'm really loving these. The first one (13) was very ra-ra get out the vote, but the others were quite engaging.
