I expected bunny-alien fucking, and I got that, but also a lot of plot too.
Chik agrees to carry the eggs for Roz, Zul, and Jau while smuggling some sort of pods to sell on the black market.
Honestly, I expected more steam from the duo that wrote the Thanksgiving-meal-turned-RH-fuckfest, but a fun read none the less.

Cute

This was super cute and had a great story, but I wanted more smut!!!! Please, can we get more from this adorable cluster with more sexy times???

I really liked the world building done in this book. It was hitchhiker’s guide-esque where weird, fantastical things exist. Sentient slime? A third nipple on your back? Sequoia sized mushrooms? Anything goes in a universe where Easter rabbit aliens exist.

That said, it could have used a little work. I found myself starting to skim towards the end of the book. The characters don’t really interact much despite being on a spaceship alone together. I think if you kept the major plot line of a business transaction turned space war (as mentioned in the blurb) and took out the miscommunication/angsty subplot, it’s be more enjoyable. If everyone was forthright from the beginning and we got to see a more gradual change in their relationships, I’d have enjoyed it more.

It’s not that smutty, despite what the premise might make you believe. I don’t even think all 4 of them get together *together* on page until the end.

J. L. and Vera can (and apparently will) write anything and it’ll be good. Idk what sort of magic it is, what sacrifices they’ve made, or how many souls they’ve bartered but they really can take the wildest ideas and turn them into a good story.

I don’t usually like reading anything gestation related, pregnancy does NOT appeal to me in any way shape or form, I tend to avoid it — but it worked for this story and they wrote it in a way that wasn’t off-putting and I think the sci-fi elements really helped soften the edges for me. Especially the omegaverse elements that they subverted, which I really enjoyed. Smaller alphas? Big brawny omegas that protect their alphas, betas, & kits as well as spawn the eggs? The entire process being moot without betas, who are usually “just normal” and overlooked in OV? Hell yeah, I’m down. It also had the good stuff from OV like alphas providing for their omegas and betas, scent marking, mate bites, and of course knots. Obviously you pick this up, look at the cover (especially the one with three shirtless, pastel-skinned muscle men with bunny ears) and you chuckle, “omegaverse space bunnies, hah”. But it works. It really does.

The bunny (and Easter) related puns, play on words, and nods were absolutely excellent too, I found myself chortling and making silly notes like “I can’t believe you named the ship cotton tail” (Koton Tayl) and “hahaha lurker” (Lurquer).

Also speaking of humor, this gem towards the beginning about unalived me on my drink so I had to include its genius here: “Sometimes being sexually adventurous meant trying out a feather, other times it meant the whole damn chicken. Time to rotisserie up, Ch’ikie girl.”

“This was just sex, she reminded herself - fun, interesting sex with a guy that had a discernable, albeit be-tentacled, dick ready to lay some eggs in her. Just another day in the life, really.”

You know when you read a book and it’s both ridiculous but also amazing….this is that book! This was such a fun book to read and I really did love it! It was fun, sweet, sexy, and a bit weird in the best possible way! After having issues with her ship Ch’ik is stranded but decides to hit the local bar in hopes of “relieving some stress.” Little did she know that three bunny aliens would be willing to help her if she were to help them. The agreement is that they would help Ch’ik with her ship and it’s precious cargo and in return she would carry their eggs. While things start out as a business deal things eventually get more complicated. This story was so exciting to read and had just a sprinkle of angst. The guys were so good and I just loved all their personalities. Ch’ik is a bad ass and totally stubborn. I would highly recommend this book if you are looking for a fun story!

First off, the KU cover is much different and this is much better. Also it’s not a novella (acknowledge in the acknowledgments)

Ok, so I read this because I was in search of a bingo square deep in the depths of Reddit and miss read “cotton candy colored” as “flavored” alas. Anyways, the best way to describe this book is: three colorful bunny men just want to raise babies and be in love. It’s pretty sweet? I mean there’s smut too, so it’s not that kind of sweet, but these boys have emotions and the love each other. There was a definite plot too, which was unexpected? Idk the bunny men cover on KU really had me judging a book by its cover, but you shouldn’t do that. Prime example.

2.5

This was cute but I was expecting way more smut and less plot. If I wasn't disappointed by how little smut I got, I might've rated it three stars.

After reading a great number of normal, boy girl meet, friends to lover, enemies to friends, whatever to parents. Planet Oster was exactly what this recent unemployed reader needed to read.

A few pages into it, I was shaking my head, trying to fit this book into normal romance category. Wrong shaped peg, hole, problem. There is no problem here, just unwrap your boring thoughts on the topic, take a deep breath, and read and enjoy the words floating across the pages.

This is space, spaceships, aliens, non-human adventures and all the shenanigans these four characters get into. Loads of adventures and cleverly written steamy scenes between all participants.

Off-world MMMF space romance adventure.

sweet

I loved how great the guys were and how strong and awesome Ch’ik was too. A cute story to read when it’s too hot to go outside, or really just whenever!

Not enough sex
