3.7 AVERAGE

I loved this book! After my last book I felt like I was about to fall into a reading slump. I wanted something short, fun and sexy to pull me out and this definitely did the trick!

I haven't read many reverse harem romances but this has me setting a countdown for the release if the second book. Vicious Queen, I need you!

This book follows Everly, Saint, Callum and Mateo with alternating POV's. Everly is the Dean's niece and seems like a nice and quiet girl until the the Boneyard Kings set their sites on her.

Merciless Kings kept me interested through every chapter and I have been left with so many questions for the next book and can't believe how much of a cliffhanger this ended on...

Also, I think I'd do anything for Saint he's the bad boy sweetheart of the group. I want all of them but I have a soft spot for him!

We learned literally nothing in this book. Still confused why Everly is a target, what even happened to the kings to make them want revenge against anyone at all!

All we learned was the FMC is chill with whatever and bad at being stealthy.

Not a huge fan of reverse harems but had a craving for one so i rolled the dice and found this one. It was okay, not a fan of the nonconsent/consent dynamic, and i literally hate the miscommunication trope. The book was fine, but it ended on such a drastic cliff hanger i have to read the second.

It was a slow start but once it picked up I was in. Crazy cliffhanger that I didn’t see coming and I got the 2nd book immediately. The spice was eh at first but definitely picked up.

I’m not quite sure how I feel about this one but I will continue with the series since I’m intrigued by the plot and just confused enough to want to know what happens, plus these are short and very quick reads.

The authors website lists kidnapping and human trafficking as the TWs for this series but should also include dubcon/noncon so no one gets blindsided. That felt like a pretty serious one to overlook if you’re already listing triggers.

I’m hoping it’s just because it’s the first in a series, but the plot feels pretty rushed and the development between the MCs is really fast. It feels like this book should be 400 pages but was cut down to <300. Hopefully the next two books will fill in some gaps!
