Each chapter we see a new customer interaction for Angel's baking business which, of course, includes lots of discussion around history, community drama, individual situations and life experiences, ect.  This was a really interesting way to share the stories of many while all  told from Angel's perspective.

I do wish there was a glossary of commonly used phrases in the different languages utilized throughout the books, but it was relatively easy to figure out what was being said based on context and frequency of use throughout the book.
