The thing about this book, which I don’t know if I’ve read before (was mildly obsessed with the movie in high school) is that it is SUCH a hilarious artifact of the specific time in which it was written. A starting salary on Wall Street that’s not significantly higher than what I make now in education! Delta still having a hub in Cincinnati! ALL OF THE PRE-9/11 LAX SECURITY STANDARDS AND THE WAY NO ONE HAS ANY SECURITY CAMERAS ANYWHERE!! It’s not that I’m really nostalgic for the early 90s, but man this was a fun romp down memory lane.

E fin qui, uno come tanti.

Started reading this book in preparation for reading The Exchange, its sequel. I have seen the movie, but had never read the book. As expected, the book is much much better. However the ending is much different than the movie.
I really need to read more from this author.
