A very normal and very middle-class man’s obsessed and anxious ramblings about work and family and relationships but, like, in a good way

Unnecessarily long. I really enjoyed the first half, but by the end I was literally forcing myself to finish it just so I could move on to the next book on my list. I understand that the main character is not supposed to be likable, I get it, and I'm fine with it. But that doesn't mean I want to read him restating his thoughts over and over again for 500 pages. This is not to say that I hated it. I liked the style of the narration because that's generally the way I think (i.e. I digress a lot, and then come back to the main point eventually). And I liked that at the beginning he was openly admitting to feelings that people generally pretend they don't have, so that was refreshing. But by the end, I was just begging for it to be over.
