I haven’t read a lot of war stories, so this was a new experience for me. I loved Kate Quinn’s the Briar Club and this one did not disappoint. Her interpretation of Lyudmila’s story was compelling, empathetic, and informative. It left me feeling so inspired by this woman I’d never heard of before, her courage and bravery, ability to stand her ground, and not miss. I cannot recommend this book enough.
