Is Ellie delusional? Yes. Is Russell a weirdo? Absolutely. Are Nadine & Magda good friends? No.

Reading this book now made me irritated—they were all so annoying. However, I understand that this book was written for teenagers, it did feel relatable in some ways when I read it that age. Let’s face it: we can all be a bit stupid and delusional back then

The final book in the girls series concludes the nostalgic re-read. The start of this book portrays some characters completely differently. Arguably indirectly highlighting teenage emotions and the struggles of navigating friendships. Love Nick Sharrett's artwork and placement in the book although at times the chapter titles contain spoilers. Similar to other books in the series the difficult topics highlighted in this book are navigated sensitively and appropriately to a younger audience. However, repercussions could have been explored further. The ending focuses on the resolution of the key relationships in the series which is appreciated, driving the narrative of the importance of female friendship.
