Megan and Cashol are so sweet together.
I love how after they fulfilled resonance and Cashol realized Megan may not have been with him fully willingly that he gives her the time and space to actually get to the point where she's ready for him and not doing things because she feels obligated to for the tribe. I love that they take the time to actually get to know each other before they do anything with each other again.
I also love how protective Cashol gets of Megan when a simple misunderstanding about a joke Megan told led to her feeling ostracized and isolated and like they were blaming her for what happened.
This book reminded me why I really didn't like Bek in the beginning of the series as well. And it shows that I really shouldn't have judged Asha to soon either. There was a moment where she defended Megan and it just made me realize she really was never as bad as I thought. She was just grieving and adjusting to all the new women who were getting pregnant left and right when she lost her own child, that she just ended up handling it badly. It just really shows just how far the tribe has come since the original humans crashed on the ice planet.
I've been really enjoying the flashbacks in the last few books with the couples we haven't had full stories from yet. It's been exciting and interesting going back to the tribal cave and the first few weeks/months of the sa-khui and humans adjusting to being together while also seeing how things have changed eight years later.
I would absolutely recommend this book like almost every other book in this series. One more book left in this series and then I'm finished. I'm excited to read Dagesh and Nora's story.
