It's crazy to me how much these characters are just kids. I remember when I was first reading these books (at like 11 years old) thought the main characters like Max and Fang where so mature and grown but reading them now, it's evident they're just scared kids and dealing with a messed up situation - like even with Ari who seems to love Max as much as he hates her, only seems to be doing so, to get his neglectful father Jeb to pay attention to him. Such a dope adaption, 100% recommend
