Light enough read. Mildly entertaining. It's so un-pc that it's funnier now than it possibly was when first written.

El libro en si es entretenido, no es demasiado largo pero creo que su segunda mitad es un poco repetitiva. El giro final le da un toque pero tampoco es destacable. Le doy 3 estrellas y media. si quieres leer algo ligerito es un buen libro.

What bothers me the most about this book isn't even the sexism, although there is plenty of it to go around. By the truckload. What bothers me is the fact that the characters are so blatantly being raped by the means of a drug rape. Dahl makes light of this issue, tries to make us laugh at it, and probably succeeds. Initially, I was very amused by him. But over the course of the first hundred pages, I started to get a little angry, and then I got mad. What, you think that just because you're talking of great MEN they cannot be raped? Ugh disgusting.

If you can overlook these issues, this book is hilarious, but c'mon, do you really want to overlook these issues?

I'm not amused. I am not. I'm sad because Dahl was one of my favourite authors ever, and I don't know how to look beyond this now.

My Uncle Oswald was a pretty amusing read. It didn't feel like anything particularly special, but it was fun to read a ridiculous story featuring ridiculous characters in ridiculous situations. And it was a quick read, making it an excellent palate cleanser.

This is also the book where Dahl used the term "Snozberries" for the first time, a word that would re-appear in Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. Just learning the origin of the term was enough to justify reading the story.

If you like quick humor, this is a great book to pick up for a bit.

The book blurb pretty much covers it. It's definitely not a masterpiece, but it is entertaining.

This felt like a bit of an odd read in this day and age. It was bawdier than I expected, although that was my own fault since the cover lines discuss Uncle Oswald as the world's greatest fornicator.
