𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟓𝟗. "𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫"
I’m glad badass Casca is back again. But the fact that every time she sees Guts her dark memories return is heartbreaking💔
𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟔𝟐. "𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡"
The lore behind the Skull Knight is so interesting.
𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟔𝟑. "𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐲"
What did Flora do to get banished from Elfhelm? I’m so intrigued!
The little boy is back!! Hopefully he won’t disappear again.
𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟔𝟒. "𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐰"
I was in love with this chapter — sill am — i adored the little boy and enjoyed his interactions with Casca, but especially with Guts. But then it turns out he’s actually Griffith????? *internally screaming*
This was the last chapter that dropped before Kentaro Miura passed away, and it is the perfect chapter T-T

This is meant to be a review for the whole kit and kaboodle but I'm not adding the other 40 volumes individually. This is some of the best fantasy I have ever read across all mediums, and I almost exclusively read fantasy. Helps that it's lavishly illustrated, but I think it's because in this format, Miura didn't have to pull any of the punches that most media has to in order to be palatable by the largest population. I mean, it gets extraordinarily brutal, then extraordinarily gentle and vulnerable. Every character has rich back story. The "ending?" Lot of people walk away knowing it's never going to officially be over, the road goes on and on. I personally like where it left off, this new world it made, and the characters that make an imperfect family on both sides. Seriously though, not for the faint of heart, you have no idea.
