I like this book, it's not really a book you just sit down and read cover to cover. Historical events are given in bite sized pieces. The book jumps around to different periods which some people may not care for but I didn't have a problem with.

This book had me jaw dropping more than another book I've ever read ... It fueled the history nerd in me and was also very ADHD friendly with the short subjects! I loved the humor, loved the illustrations, my only complaint was I couldn't read it fast enough

For people like me this is a fun book to read. There is a story for every day of the year. The subtitle describes how misfortune, mayhem and misery--365 times over-can be "fun" to read--it is done gleefully. Farquhar has a talent for telling it like it was with a chuckle.

The storytelling in this book is highly amusing. It also covered a wide range of topics – from politics to sports, from Hollywood to someone's neck of the woods.

I learned many things not just about some of the vilest people in history but also about the victims of misfortunes and bad luck.

A fun read that was easy to speed through. Fascinating how there is something for each day of the year from small events to worldwide catastrophes.
