I personally had a hard time connecting with the book. I think many others really enjoyed the quick steamy story, but it just wasn’t for me. Had a hard time believing the motivations.

I was in between reads and wanted something a bit more on the fluffy side. It's a pretty basic shifter romance.

In this case, Dax, a bear shifter, has a very short period of time to pick a mate before he loses the ability to mate and have cubs. To make things worse, he's under immense pressure from his father and threatening to cut him from the family business. Luckily for him, he finds his ACTUAL mate after being hired by her father to help fix up her business that was destroyed by raccoons. Great, right?

Allie has recently left a very toxic relationship with another bear shifter who claimed she was his mate but lied. She already feels more for Dax in one single day than she ever did for her ex, but she still hasn't recovered from the damage that relationship caused her and is in no rush to jump into one again, especially with another bear shifter.

One is on a time crunch, the other has no desire whatsoever to hurry into anything. You'll have to read to see how things will work out!

sorry but the whole premise of having to find a mate by a certain age or you lose the ability to procreate like some kind of bear shifter menopause is just dumb. I get that this whole book is a very silly premise to begin with (and was on board for some shenanigans) but i still need the worldbuilding to make sense.
