While part of me is mildly embarrassed to rate a cheesy romance this highly, I choose to stand by my rating. It truly is cheesy in places, but it's so good hearted (in terms of values and characters and such) that it's hard to mind when it goes over the top, or over explains just a smidge. 

And... well, I'd had a really rough day, and needed a really happy book, and this delivered. I think that's undervalued sometimes, and I just love that a series that includes some really  hard realities of life still manages to be the series I want to turn to when I need a glimpse of how the world *should* be.
