Everything about the book just screams YES!!! It had so many tropes that I love: bodyguard, forced proximity/roommates, protective broody MMC...I meaaaan! There were so many parts of Tempting the Player that I just adored. I love the world that Rebecca Jenshack has created with so many intertwining characters. Seeing more details of Archer and Brogan's relationship left me wanting even more (and I am manifesting HARD that we do...). Getting a few "catch up" glimpses at our girls from earlier in the series was just enough to make me smile and look back on their stories with fondness. I loved watching the growth between Hendrick and his brothers as they navigate through their different perspectives of their shared trauma growing up. Seeing Jane as she tries to separate herself from her past as Ivy and just try to be a "normal" college student was a perfect balance for me. The chemistry between these two was perfectly spicy too! An absolute MUST read for me!

I loved this irresistible bodyguard to lovers romance! It has a little of everything from sweet and swoony, to heartbreak and happiness, with just enough suspense and sizzling passion that makes this a totally addicting story. I loved Jane in past Wallflower books and couldn't wait for her story after revealing her identity in the last book. Jane was a child star who worked hard, and now wanted to know what it was like to be normal while living the typical college experience. But after revealing her identity, there are some who treat her differently, and someone who poses a danger. Her parents secretly hired a bodyguard, Hendrick, to blend in. Unfortunately not well enough because she noticed him and was attracted instantly. When she finds out who Hendrick is, she is hurt. But when things escalate, she turns to the only man who makes her feel safe. But with their forced proximity, the sparks fly even hotter, and they can't help but act on their attraction. As their hearts become invested, will they find the threat before she gets hurt, and find their HEA? I absolutely loved Jane and Hendrick together, they are opposites and so perfect for each other. Hendrick is serious, surly, and an alpha protector, while Jane is unguarded, carefree, and thoughtful. They support each other, have fun together, and their chemistry is explosive! I loved seeing friends from past books, and I especially loved meeting Hendrick's brothers who were all intriguing, sweet, and fun.
Jacob Morgan and Ava Erickson were so perfectly cast and did a great job portraying both Hendrick and Jane in all their strengths and vulnerabilities. Morgan and Erickson masterfully captured these characters giving them such depth, and easily bring out all the different emotions and passion that was between Hendrick and Jane. I was completely mesmerized by their storytelling, and completely captivated by this beautiful and moving story from word one.
I am sorry that this is the last book in this series that I loved so much. But Jane and Hendrick's story delivered so much with it's intriguing and strong characters, clever banter, enough mystery and drama to keep me turning the pages, and the perfect amount of romance to make me swoon, and leaves me totally satisfied!

I have fully enjoyed every book that i've read by Rebecca Jenshak. Tempting the Player is one that I had been anticipating since the end of book 3, and I fell hard.

Jane is simply amazing, and I am so happy to see her get this HEA.

Tempting the Player was everything I wanted it to be, and cannot think of any complaints.

This is the second of this series that I’ve read and I enjoyed it just as much – Jenshak has definitely converted me to a reader of new adult romances. I will say there were a few moments that stretched reality just a little, mostly around Hendrick’s career, but the writing is so smooth and the characters are so charming that I just didn’t care.

Hendrick and Jane are adorable together. They are flirty and fun – Jane with her upbeat take on life and Hendrick’s with his broody sexiness. Her safety issues have them spending a lot of time together quickly which has them falling fast, not insta but close, however it works here. Jane works well with both Hendrick and his life that it feels right.

I do wish we’d gotten more of the girls together, because I remember that was one of my favorite parts of the other book. But I feel like Jenshak makes up for it with the brother dynamic. I’m really hoping this is her way of introducing us to the next series because these guys are all the feels with how they support each other and do what they can to handle all the things that life has handed them. With Jane there as a badly needed feminine touch and outside voice, it’s just a heart squeeze to see them come together.

The mystery of who is threatening Jane is a lesser concern over the romance and family dynamic but I feel like it was well done and I believed the person could have done it. I think if that was something important to you as a plot point then you might be disappointed in how it wasn’t more of a focus but if you are coming at it as a romance with a little bit of a suspense for drama then I think you’re good :)

Looking forward to what Jenshak has in store next (and hoping it has one of Hendrick’s brothers getting his HEA).

**I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.**

I am a huge fan of Rebecca Jenshak books. This book did not disappoint for me. I always love the sort of forbidden romances (bodyguard, best friend's brother, the more tame forbidden tropes). And this book did it well. They knew they weren't supposed to be together because Hendrick needed to stay focused to truly protect Jane, but they couldn't help but fall in love with each other. It was a fast paced book that was a really fun and easy read and kept my attention.

Audiobook. I really enjoyed this series. This last book fell a bit flat for me, but overall I loved all three characters!
