This was so good and for what?

I'm a sucker for Rebecca Jenshak and this is no different. I knew she was going to deliver and she definitely did. I was surprised with the undercover bodyguard trope as I haven't read one of those in a while. It definitely reminded me of the movie The First Daughter and I was LIVING for those vibes. The friendship dynamics between the girls was everything to me as it was pretty much the definition of girlhood. I also loved how everyone including the girls' significant others got a long and seeing their interactions with one another. Jane was the definition of cool girl boss as she wanted to share the spotlight with everyone. Hendrick on the other hand WHEW. Say less the grumpiness was definitely there. I also love how protective he is for his brothers and his family. I definitely think Jane and Hendrick both compliemented each other so well and I am DEVASTATED to see this series come to an end.

Thank you Valentine PR for sending me an e-ARC!

I really liked Hendrick and the other Holland boys. I also enjoyed the suspense element with the threats and stalkers Jane faces. A lot of the story was predictable, but it was still cute and fun.

✨️ Grumpy/Sunshine
✨️ Bodyguard Romance
✨️ Celebrity Romance
✨️ Forced Proximity
✨️ Roommates

I honestly think this is some of Rebecca's strongest work!

Hendrick and Jane had the BEST chemistry. I mean seriously. Hendrick Holland is an ex-NFL turned bodyguard who is hired to protect Jane.

Jane is literally the definition of a sunshine girly while Hendrick is broody and cold with a super soft spot for the only girl he is supposed to stay away from...

This was ADDICTIVE and Rebecca left NOO crumbs!

This just wasn’t it. And I was so disappointed with it. Jane is an entitled little brat who is so used to getting everything she wants and continues to push boundaries that are set for a reason. She annoyed me throughout the entire book.

And why did nobody involve the police? It felt very weird that this low level “bodyguard” saw that her room was vandalized and trashed and never once thought to get the cops involved.

And how were her parents okay with her dating her bodyguard?? There’s no way in hell they would’ve been down with it without lots of pushback. That felt so unrealistic to me.

Jane got no consequences for anything and the main conflict was solved in one chapter.

All in all not a favorite. Hendrick was the only thing that made this somewhat bearable.

I went through this whole series in a week on audiobook and I truly enjoyed my time. I loved Jane & Hendrick so much.
And I am delighted to hear we are getting a Holland brothers series spinoff cuz I just adored them all.

Tempting the Player is the perfect conclusion to the Wallflower series. We’ve watched Jane support and love each and every one of her roommates as they found love and now it was
finally her turn. Hendrick, is such a big big old grumpy teddy bear and perfect for Jane in every single way. The way these two help each other figure out who they are now after letting go of the past was so beautiful. But with all good things there is always someone in the background trying to ruin something and in this case it’s Jane who’s struggling with someone threatening her.
I could not put this book down, it’s my favorite book of the month!

I definitely might be a little Bias, but Jane has been my girl since I started the Wallflower series, I instantly connected with her, she stood out to me, her upbeat, bubbly and unapologetically her personality made her so special and after reading this book, I love her even more then I already did.

This is the final book in the wallflower series, it a little different than the others in the series, there's more mystery and tension filled moments. Jane now having let her famous alter ego be known, now has more to worry about when it comes to her safety. Her family hirers a bodyguard for her. this is where Hendrick our hero comes into play. He's an ex-football player, who had returned to town to look after not only Jane, but his brothers as well.

Yes, the relationship dynamic between Hedrick and Jane was everything I could hope for, but the found family dynamic between Jane and Hendricks brothers as well, was so cute to read about. I am already anxiously hoping that Archer and Knox both get a book!

Overall, this was a great ending to the series, as always I was smiling from ear to ear throughout this one.
