The last book was definitely not my favourite one. I think it is a mixture of multiple reasons. First, I read all four books one after another, maybe not the smartest idea but I has quite hyped for the second and third and then wanted to finish. Second, I really don't like the name Hendrick and he has not grown on me that much. Third, I feel like the storyline was the weirdest of all.
After Jane revealed that she is actually Ivy Greene, a former child star, she's in the spotlight again. Hendrick, who left to pursue his professional football dreams, is now back in town. He is Jane's secret bodyguard. But there is also a lot of attraction between them. And then one thing comes to another...
I am again stating that I am not the biggest fan of Hendrick. He is very tense but also grumpy and I was really confused by his character in the first half. I do like Jane, she's very outgoing and exactly what he needs. The secret bodyguard plot is weird. She finds out rather soon and then it's weird. After a short clash between them, he continues his job and we get the "I can't protect you, when I am distracted". Because that always works...
Jane has a stalker (and a paparazzi problem) and Hendrick is very protective over her. In like a bodyguard- and I am so obsessed-with-her-fashion. But apparently he is not worried to fuck her in public on a football field. Makes not as much sense to me.
My highlight of the book are definitely Hendrick's brothers Knox, Flynn, Archer and Brogan (who is a brother by heart). They're very entertaining and love to go on Hendrick nerves which I really enjoy. Also their friendship with Jane is goals.
The Campus Wallflowers series:
I think this quote is so fitting for the whole girl's group. It kind of summarises the differences in their own lovestories.

We're watching Pride and Prejudice for the millionth time. The Keira Knightley version. The four of us all have our favorite moments. I love the ball at the beginning where Elizabeth and Darcy meet for the first time, Daisy loves the moment when Darcy helps Elizabeth off the carriage, Dahlia enjoys the end where Darcy crosses the field, and Vi loves the scene we're we're watching now where Darcy confesses his love to Elizabeth in the rain and she tells him he's the last man she would ever marry. (p.267)
All in all, it was a cute romance series with rather short books. It's not a must read, but I definitely had fun.
My personal ranking of the individual books:
1. Scoring the Player - Dahlia & Felix (🌟4,0)
Hating the Player - Violet & Gavin (🌟4,0)
2. Tutoring the Player - Daisy & Jordan (🌟3,0)
3. Tempting the Player - Jane & Hendrick (🌟3,0)

Tempting The Player
rate:★★★★★
This was such a cute read, I haven't read the other Campus Wallflower books but I was still able to enjoy this book. This book is about Jane, who was a former childhood actress/singer who is currently trying to live a normal life however her past makes it a little difficult. Hendrick, is a former NFL player who was hired as her private bodyguard to facilitate her college life. Their attraction began throughout their interactions as Hendrick was just the grumpy stranger who swooped in to protect Jane. As the book continued, they tried their best to maintain things professional for the benefit of keeping Jane safe & this definitely allowed their relationship blossomed naturally.
In addition, I loved the glimpses of the other Wallflower couples/characters and I'm excited to go back and read the rest of the series. I also loved seeing Hendrick's brothers and would definitely want to read their books if they got any
