very much enjoyed this one!
Sebastian and Wesley are very swoony together.
I enjoyed all their interactions and I very much appreciate how their relationship is surely but slowly progressing
I would love for the PNR to be MORE though.

Audio brilliantly narrated by Joel Leslie!

Rounding up I think. The paranormal mystery/romance balance in this one felt a bit...off? But a fun instalment nonetheless for anyone who likes the series.

This was soooo good. I loved it even more than the first book, and I love the first book more than most things in the world. Its a direct continuation of the story, we get to spend more time with Wes and Sebastian (beloved), it has absolutely beautiful relationship payouts.... Just augh, love it love it love it

EDIT 2024: the reunion between Wesley and Arthur/Rory still makes me cry. This relationship progression was exactly what I hoped for since Wesley showed up in Starcrossed and the fact we had to wait for it for 4 books makes it so much better. I just love these books so much. I reread all 5 of them (again) and I just love the care with which Allie writes these relationships, especially the platonic ones. Almost nobody is irredeemable

i do love unreliable narrators and it was good to get more of Lord Fine and Sebastian de Leon. the expansion of the universe and both learning how to handle magic and each other is a lot of fun.

I wanted to take my time reading this since the third book isn’t out until June 2025, but I couldn’t put it down 🥲

Wesley and Sebastian continue to be adorable together and I liked that this one was very focused on their romance - though in the middle of the book it dragged on a little and I was wondering when the relic plot would progress, but I still enjoyed reading it!

Wesley is somehow so funny and not taking shit from anyone, protecting Sebastian from others and himself, Sebastian being the sweetheart that he is, struggling with his dangerous magic and guilt — ugh, I just love these characters ❤️‍🩹

The last third of the book definitely picked up and was super exciting to read, but it still felt funny and emotional, something the author juggles extremely well!

The ending was super cute and satisfying, though I am curious to see what will happen in the next book! I cannot wait and will definitely check out the author‘s other series! 🥰
