I'm so upset that the next book doesn't come out until Spring 2025. But if it's the same quality as this and Allie Therin's other books, the wait will be worth it. And it may even give me an excuse to reread these books closer to that time.
Sebastian and Wesley are so sweet together. One thing I love about this series and Magic in Manhattan is that the first book in both shows the main couple coming to terms with their romantic and sexual feelings for each other. Then the next books are about their relationship developing beyond the initial getting together. I've seen so many series draw out a romance for 3+ books before they finally have their first kiss/sex scene and admit their attraction to each other at the very end. But you often don't get to see them actually being happy together and working through the emotions that come with that. I love how Allie Therin gives us that exploration after they realize their feelings.
Sebastian is the best and must be protected at all costs. He's way too sweet and I hope he continues in the next book to give Wesley all the feelings.
Spoiler: Something I've noticed as a pattern in this series and the Magic in Manhattan books:
I have noticed that every one of Allie Therin's books that I've read involves at least one of the love interests being kidnapped. Sometimes one is kidnapped and the other has to save them. Sometimes they both get kidnapped. Either way, there's always a kidnapping in the second half of the book and I'm here for it. I'm a sucker for this trope of one character being in trouble and the other coming to save them. And Allie does it really well, in my opinion./spoiler>
