I wish the entire book had been like the last thirty pages. While the idea of writing about a friendship put to the test by one of the friends facing death is intriguing I found this book painfully slow. I also think it's unfair that the description of the book mentions nothing of cancer. It made it an uncomfortable bait and switch when I picked it up.
