There is a very loud ache in my chest at having finished this series - this JOURNEY - that I started when I was 13.
Thank you Cast Team for creating this magical series.
I will reread it many times over

Out of all of the books in this series, this may be my favorite. I was dreading reading this book, not because I didn't want it to end, but because I wanted it to be done so badly that I had planned on not reading this one. I'm glad I did. While in a way, the ending was a little cheesy, it wasn't bad. I very much enjoyed how the whole series ended.

This book was good, but very predictable. You knew by the end of the series that everyone would fully complete the Change, Kalona would be forgiven by Nyx, Neferet would finally be defeated, etc. It also was incredibly gory and kind of all over the place at a few points, but good nonetheless!

This was entertaining but it dragged on for me. I’m glad to be finished this series 😂

12 books, 4 novellas, and the series is over! Everything was wrapped up nicely with the exception of Aphrodite! I finished the book feeling very frustrated because the one thing I was dying to know was, "Does Aphrodite stay human?" That aspect wasn't addressed!

i have zero words. i finished the entire series and i already want to reread it. as a kid i was obsessed with vampires (still am) and i’m pretty sure this series is what started that obsession. reading this as an adult was bitter sweet, i loved it

Ah hell, it's finally over.

Honestly ya'll? I'm devastated to have finished this last book. This is the last series I had started to read before my own teenage life got busy and I grew up and didn't make time to read anymore.

I should have finished it when it released, but I'm happy to have finished it now.

I know, I know. “It's trash!” “I HATE Zoey!” “This is the worst series I have ever read!” yeah ya'll hate this series and yet read through them all or at least half of them!!

I think it was tied together BETTER than I expected. Every character got the ending they deserved. Do I wish more was written about them and their endings? Oh hell yeah. But I also look at this with the knowledge that I'll be reading the spinoff series next, and it picks up a little under a year after this book ended, so honestly the jump isn't much.

My favorites in the end were Aphrodite and Kalona. Lowkey I think he's got a wonderful arc, they both do. I do have a lot of love for Stevie Rae as well, and her love story with Rephaim is an important subplot in the series.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the timeline of this pretty much as short as that of Twilight? Like for how much is packed in it, it mostly takes place over one fking school year? Or like one and a half? Maybe? I think Marked started in Fall because they talk about Heath's football games and then we're in spring now in this book. Did she ever go from a year three to a year four?? Like what the hell! I suppose a TV show (if it EVER happened) could polish that a little. Start Neferet's changing behavior with Z take place over the first year, when Stevie Rae dies year two, and by the time Thanatos takes over they're in the winter of year three or something? I know Aphrodite is meant to be two years older, but maybe she could be just one year and Shaunee (and Erin) could be the same year as Z, Stevie Rae, and Damien. That would at least allow the plot to develop much if the same way, but flow better.

All in all my final thoughts are that while I may never reread this series again, it was a huge undertaking on my part as I had to purchase what I still was missing and figure out the chronological order to read them, but they will forever live on my shelf and I will remember them fondly.

This series still has a lot of heart and a lot of love and should have it's flowers too, even if it's problematic writing would need to be resolved and reworked.

I look forward to seeing what final adventure the Nerd Herd has in store for them.
