Wow! I didnt think the first book could be topped but it was! Return to the Dallergut Dream Store was beautiful with continuing character development of Penny. I enjoyed Penny helping fix the complaints of the dreamers - who themselves had struggles of disability, depression or lost of lucid dreaming. I am sad there is not any future books of this series in the works! Also the book cover is once again beautiful

See below notes during my read:
The story of helping Tae-kyung is beautiful - helping him with his blindness and adapting how their store is to help him dream again

Even though I still love the concept of this dreamworld, this second book lacks in story for me. The first half of the book feels aimless and the second half finishes too early.

A beautiful continuation of the Dallergut Dream Department Store.

Without much fuss, you are brought back into the comforting realm of sleep with Penny, with the second year in the job providing new thought-provoking challenges via the Civil Complaints Centre.
It brings an interesting line of thought to the roles memories and personal experiences can play within the dream realm and the wider waking world. Found myself along with penny beginning to question why I found solace in memories and dreams when the waking world is stagnant.

Beautifully and enchantingly written with a smooth translation makes for an easy read. Definitely on my reread list.

I absolutely adore this book and this duology. Easily one of my favorite books. I love the dream world and love the additional context of the Dream Department store. I love thinking about myself as a regular on the wall with my own eyelid scales

Absolutely love this book series and can't wait for the third to come out. It has a lot of the common cosy fantasy tropes but its a fresh take on the genre. The only reason it's not a 5 star is because I whish there was a bit more description about the way places and characters look like.
