The heroine ultimately disgusted me, her kid is in foster care, and she refuses to tell the dad/H because the he left her and her feelings are hurt. Not only that, but she puts herself into dangerous situations, how on earth is that helping her kid? She was so unbelievably stupid and selfish! (And this is all just make believe, because in real life your kid isn’t going to be taken away for petty theft and it’s not a crime to be homeless).
Then the H is just OK not knowing what happened to his kid, pursues the h.
Maybe it’s because I’m a mom, but this just did not jive for me.

There is something about those Maxwell brothers that keep me coming back for more. S.B. Alexander knocked me out of my seat with this one. I thought the last one had torn me up, it had nothing on Dare to Dance. Before, I didn’t let myself get too attached to a brother (I know people who get stabby over them) but I couldn’t help it. I fell head over heels in love with Kross.
Kross Maxwell is one of a set of triplets. Along with their older brother, Kade, they were often trouble makers. At the end of their freshmen year in high school that trouble leads them to being shipped out to a boarding school. Once there, Kross crosses paths with Ruby. She quickly becomes his best friend and then eventually his lover. But when he moves back home, he ignores her calls and eventually she gets the hint. Years later, on a whim Kross attempts to get in touch with her to apologize for just fading out of her life. Running by her old place, he gets a surprise.
Ruby had to get tough fast and stay tough. She wasn’t going to let her high school sweetheart sweep in to save the day. She wasn’t a damsel in distress; she was a damsel that can handle her own crap. She’s made mistakes but she was doing what she could to keep her head above water. And she did own up to them in the end. Kross is an alpha male to the core, all of the Maxwell brothers are. He is swoon-inducing, makes you need a fan sexy. And he knows what he wants and he isn’t going to stop until he gets it. I loved his persistence and stubbornness. But I also adored that we got to see his vulnerable side.
This story packs so much punch into one little book. There were a lot of “oh my gods,” “oh no she didn’ts,” and “oh come on nows” yelled as I read this book. It definitely caught me off guard in a really good way. It has the swoon-worthy romance, the steamy heat to fog up glasses and sexy alpha men that know just how to push your buttons. I will admit to having some mixed feelings about Ruby. She’s not my favorite of the Maxwell women. But I’ll cope with that for Kross.
All I can say is expect the unexpected, be prepared for a journey, and hold on to your tissue. You’re in for one hell of a ride. One-click this bad boy today. You’ll be thanking me later.

What can i say about this book? SB Alexander, once again, did not disappoint. I love this series so much and love diving into the life of the Maxwell Brothers. Learning about Kross, Ruby and his past really made me FEEL. Ruby had such a hard life before and after Kross, and watching her struggle and then grow was beautiful. I cannot wait for the next installment of this series.

I think read this book in less than 2 days. I just couldn't put it down. S. B. Alexander has not disappointed me yet in this series. Each book is more amazing and I can not put them down. I definite recognise series of you haven't read them yet. It's hard for me to say anything about the story without a few spoilers, so to avoid that I will say that it really touched me and I could not put it down.
