One thing that I can say about K.K. Allen is that she knows how to write. You can feel, see, and smell the details of her stories. This book is definitely different from some of her others. I think it was well-rounded and well-written, it just wasn't for me. I love the deep emotional connections in her other books, and it just seemed to be missing in this one. The scenes are unbelievably hot, don't get me wrong. A great book, just not my usual read. I will still be reading the second book to see what happens to Lyric and Wolf.

I was so disappointed in this KK Allen book. She is always a hit for me. She usually writes books that just suck me in. The majority of this book was just physical that I had to skip page after page. I’m after the story. I didn’t connect with any of these characters. I felt like Wolf was just a jerk and then at the end I was so mad at the way Lyric was acting. This did end on a cliffhanger but I won’t be bothering to pick up the next book.

This story is a rocker romance. One of the things I love about KK Allen books is that they are strategically written by weaving in the past and the present. There is a good amount of effort to build the story with a lot of details. You get a really good feel for Lyric and Wolf's characters by the time you get into the heart of this story. It felt really intimate to me. Like you were a fly on the wall watching everything go down. The chemistry!! Gahhhh... It is so intense. I swear I could feel the heat coming out of my ipad. There is a potential in the story to have some sort of roadblock jump out anywhere and it keeps you on your toes. I don't usually like cliffhangers, but I knew this was a duet when I went into the story and I was prepared. I can't wait to see where the next book takes this story.

That cliffy though! I need the rest of Lyric and Wolf's story like yesterday 😳

An absolutely fantastic read. Wolf and Lyric's story is a rollercoaster ride with so much to tell. It grips you and holds you captive. I look forward to reading more of these two.

I'm gonna be honest and say this book, in my opinion, does NOT need a part 2. I would have been perfectly happy if the story ended.. but now this lame ass drama.. I'll probably read part 2, but I can predict the whole book before I even read it. I would have given it 5* if it would have ended, without the unnecessary drama added at the end

I had never read any of K.K. Allen's books. So I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into when I started Dangerous Hearts. And now, I'm completely obsessed with the story, and I can't wait to read the second book of the series. It's the perfect romance, one of those books you can't simply put down because you need to know what happens next.
Lyric Cassidy has known the music business all her life. The daughter of an 80's rock star and pop singer, she loves music too much to stay away from the stage and the rock scene. She has made a name for herself as a successful road manager, a role that allows her to be connected to music without being in the spotlight.
Running away from her ex-boyfriend and with a broken heart, Lyric jumps back onto the road as the road manager of Wolf Chapman. She is convinced work will help her heal and focus. After all, Wolf is the lead singer for the hottest rock back in the country. He is not looking for a relationship (never has) and only does one-night stands.
But destiny is a powerful thing.

I received an ARC for review
I really enjoyed this one. I couldn't put it down. Sometimes I read a book and sit down to write the review and then try to remember the main characters' names. Not with this one. Lyric and Wolf. Two people who grew up in the music industry and wanted to stay with it. Lyric is the road manager for Wolf's rock band. Obviously sparks fly. I wanted them to get together but at the same time I was afraid of what might happen if they did get together. Would Wolf be able to handle having only one woman while on tour? And then I was waiting for the fallout. There is a book two coming out so I knew something bad was going to happen. This one kept me reading because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. I cannot wait to read the next book and see how the story continues. I loved Wolf and Lyric. Great names.
