Very fun, I really like the way the series has settled into it's groove.  Nothing particularly surprising but just enough character work to keep it from being repetitive from book to book.  That said, this one felt like it meandered a bit more than it needed to, causing it to feel like it could have done with a scene or two edited out to keep the pace up.  I suppose a book centered around Ida Belle felt like it should have been breakneck paced.  Ah well. :)

What else can I say, I really like this series and how, though still true to the initial portrait, the characters are better sketched, adding details, complexities in the case of Fortune and Ida Belle and craziness in the case of Gertie.
Still recommend as a fun but not too silly read

I am a HUGE fan of Jana Deleon and the Miss Fortune series but this one just wasn't up to par for me. The books are starting to seem like they fit a formula, which wouldn't be bad if the humour was there, which it wasn't in this one. If the next one is the same as this one, it may be time for me to say goodbye to the Miss Fortune series.

I always enjoy the books in this series. You can rely on Fortune, Ida Bell, and Gertie to provide laughs and crazy hijinks. Big and Little Hebert and Mannie add some fun too.

This was one of the better ones as Celia played only a small part it in. Unfortunately she shows up again in the next book, book 11, and plays a very big part in it. Celia is beyond unlikable.

These books are hilarious. Didn't see the twist at the end coming. Glad that Carter and Fortune are talking and that Celia gets a bit of a comeuppance. Though what Fortune and the gang did to Celia's back yard had me rolling in the floor.
