I wish this book was a little bit longer for the tension and build up between the two

Not a typical read for me, darker in concept, characters, and plot than I usually enjoy. The book was faced paced, kept me engaged, always wanting to know what would happen next. The main characters were amusing in their constant attempt to out stubborn the other. I liked the setting of the book. Both in location and business sense. I don't think I've read a story set in San Francisco before and I know I haven't read any that center around the art world(its parties, creation, drama and politics). Overall, I enjoyed this tale for what it was though I will not likely read it again

Set your expectations - it’s a dark romance about a serial killer artist who stalks a girl into loving him. If you can manage your expectations, the book is a breeze and really nice to dive into. I read this and the sequel in rapid succession and I recommend doing that if you want more of the romance.

i didn’t know what to expect going into this book but oh my goddd i loved it. i do wish there was more focus on the trauma that mara experienced, hence my rating of the book. i adore sophie lark’s work and i will never pass up an opportunity to read something written by her. i’m starting the next book in the duet asap!

I actually really enjoyed this. I read some other reviews but I thought it was actually pretty good. Obviously he’s a giant red flag but he was also dedicated to her and he changed because of that. She was also a badass feisty fmc which I love.
