There's no enough words to described how much I love and adore this series and characters.

Much better than the first book. The plot contains lots of actual witchcraft (instead of a bunch of stuff just happening to the main character), and I like that Cassie veers sharply away from Mary Sue-dom.

Unless your 14, stay away from this series. It should be classified as Young Young Adult.

2023: A favorite comfort read
Even though I've read this several times, the end is still so powerful. We finally get some of the history that makes the first book make much more sense. I think the second one is my favorite. . .a lot of action and information. I'm just starting the third and it is a page turner.
Read it again....September 2016...a little cheesy...a little underdeveloped...but still a favorite. :)
