I hate to prescribe to book sexism (nice phrase, isn't it? I just made it up), but this is definitely more of a boy's read. There's nothing wrong with that, just that a pirate novel isn't really my thing. I'm sure some girls would enjoy this one, but I'm not one of them.

Un clásico atemporal es la mejor manera de definir este libro. Me gustó mucho aunque debo admitir que me gustó más aún la adaptación de Disney y la banda sonora.

I can't help wondering if Stevenson was influenced by The Count of Monte Cristo which was published 40 years before Treasure Island. The islands in both stories had pirates, hidden treasure, goats and caves.

I don’t know what I can say that hasn’t already been said. Everyone know the story of Long John Silver and the treasure. This was better than I expected. I don’t normally read books from the male perspective but this has lot’s of action. It was a fun read.
