Good because it is a collection of Freddie’s own words, and I haven’t listened to many interviews of him so a lot was fairly new to me. However, some parts are a little repetitive, which make sense since it’s an assemblage of different interviews, with I think sections grouped by theme/topic. While I think this is probably the best way to format a book like this, without any context of Freddie’s original words (not even a date) there are certain things that would be more interesting/understandable if the reader had an idea of what point in his life/career he said these things. While there is a source list from the back of the book, there is no list of specific interview citations like I was expecting. But overall, it’s good especially because there is no autobiography of Freddie due to his early passing - if writing an autobiography was something he would’ve been even interested in!

Repetitive & gives very little real insight into Freddie Mercury. There are no dates or sources cited for the quotes, so even if you read every (often contradictory) word it's impossible to get a feel for context or growth for the opinions expressed. In a word, this book is shallow.

This book was choppy and all over the place, but the authors did their best to compile Freddie's words from different interviews into one book. I loved reading about Freddie's life from his own actual words. This is the closest to an autobiography that we'll ever get and I enjoyed it regardless of the weird format.

Lovey to read Freddie's own words. Read after watching the film and wanted to see Freddie's actual POV. Bit too repetitive and hard to follow. Some brilliant quotes. Glad I got it for free.

Well there you have it, my dears! Straight from the horse's mouth, as it were! I loved Freddie Mercury before I read this, but now I love him even more. He had an extraordinary life, he lived life to the full and had no regrets. He was a beautiful person, inside and out. He was also incredibly talented. All of this comes across in this book.
